Look at this blog I found about Macro Greens and Miracle Reds on:
http://melindasfabulouslife.blogspot.com/

My new Vitamin Drink for the Day!

I was a little wary about trying the Macro Greens Superfood supplement even moreso than the Miracle Reds- Any time I have tried green drinks containing spirulina, barley, etc- they have been hard for me to even get down. That's why I was SO shocked that I really liked the Macro Greens- I juiced some apples (my Mom had given me a bag) and added 1 tbsp. to 1/2 glass apple juice, 1/2 glass water- my sister loved it too and surprisingly so did Reggie! He never likes to drink green drinks, so this is definitely going to be our new daily vitamin drink. I also was exhausted (from our 3 a.m. night before) and was going to have some coffee, but decided to try some of this instead- I could tell that this gave me a huge boost of energy!
It can also be added to smoothies or protein shake for a more filling meal. _________________________

Now, onto the Macro Greens & Miracle Reds Raw food Bars- first of all, I LOVE the fact that these are all raw also! I am really trying to stick to my all raw diet- usually about 85% raw- so this really fits into my diet! I absolutely loved all three bars and needless to say, I did NOT share these! lol My favorite had to be the Chocolate and Cinnamon Bar- yummy yum! All of the bars were gone within 5 days or less HA! The other great things about these bars besides being Raw, Vegan and yummy is that they are low glycemic, no wheat, gluten free, no preservatives, gmos, artificial colors, soy or corn. The Fresh Berri-Berri has 4 grams of fiber while the Chocolate & Cinnamon and Apple Lemon Ginger both have 6 grams of fiber- all of the bars are loaded with calcium and vitamin A.

Reds-yet another way

I'm working on getting more protein into my diet-so I thought if I could combine my reds with protein it would be just perfect. The other day I tried

1 serving non fat greek yogurt

1/4 c applesauce

1 scoop reds.

It was tastey-almost like a smoothie!

A new way to try Miracle Reds

This week I was traveling, but made sure to bring my Miracle Reds with me. Though I didn't have my usual apple juice and water bottle to shake and go with. I stopped into a store and picked up some cottage cheese. I'd been a little short on protein the whole trip and thought-why not just add the reds to my cottage cheese. It was pretty good. A little sweet, but that had to do with the ratio of reds to cottage cheese. I ate two servings of cottage cheese so I could get 30g of protein, but ate half of it without the reds, then added a scoop to the cottage cheese. This was in case I didn't like it, wanted to get a little protein before hand.
I was talking to my friend Karen and she said maybe try adding the reds to Ricotta cheese-just a bit smoother? Then I thought you could mix reds and ricotta, get some lady fingers or pastry tart, spread the mixture in and top with fresh blue berries, strawberries and raspberries-any fruit you want really. This would make a nice fruit layered desert-healthy too! Sounds good to me! let me know if you guys have any other thoughts.

Red Applesauce?

Like I mentioned before I've been working very hard to get my reds in everyday. And I feel it when I don't. Today I woke up early-ate a normal breakfast of eggs and cheese in a whole wheat tortilla and had my usual bit of fruit on the side. After my trip to the farmer's market, couple loads of laundry and a little work I decided its now or never for my reds. I looked in the fridge and then the cupboard and found applesauce!!!

So-I thought why not add the Miracle Reds to my applesauce. So I did and it was Berry delicious. I recommend it to anyone!! also seems like a perfect way to get kids to try it too!

Marathon

So, as some of you may know I am training for the marathon.

This weekend was my short 9-miler recovery run. I hadn't trained in 3 weeks and was really nervous. I did not get tired at all and the only thing that bothered me was my ankles. I didn't even run out of energy. It was a miracle! I thought what was so different about this past week and I realized it was my greens and reds! I not only hydrated myself more than ever this week but got so many servings of fruits and veggies!

I will for sure continue taking them now that I can truly see the effects! AWESOME!!!!

In the Red

ok-I have finished my canister of Greens and now I am onto Reds. Yes, they do taste good. Much fruitier than the greens. I did the same mix of water and apple juice, but they do tend to be very gritty at the bottom :(

I think tomorrow-or tonight I will sprinkle the reds on my cottage cheese. Instant fruity cottage cheese! sounds fun to me.

Is it that simple?

OK-I'll be honest here. I haven't taken my greens for a few days. And I have felt so tired, lethargic and just plain unproductive. I spoke to Karen on the phone and she says's "are you taking your green?" I thought to myself-well actually I haven't been. It's not that I don't like the taste, I have to say it's the process of making them then drinking them. I would much rather eat a solid substance, rather thank drink something. I'm like that with getting my calories in-not that I have a problem getting enough calories in, but I would much rather have to chew something than drink it.

So-before I head out today I will make my greens and get back on it.
This is just showing me that they really do work! good job greens!!!

Great Smoothie!

I just made a GREAT miracle reds smoothie.

I call it...

Mixed Berries Miracle Madness

1 cup of frozen berries
I cup of apple juice
6 oz. of frozen vanilla yogurt
4 cubes of ice
1 scoop of miracle reds

YUMMY!

But beware...it leaves seeds in your teeth (if you bring it to school or anywhere in public, have a mirror in the other hand!)
When I first started using Macro greens more than a week ago I felt like I was getting sick. I had symptoms that a cold was coming, such as a earache and sore throat, but I did not get sick. My body got the nutrients and warded off a stubborn cold.
This morning I mixed miracle reds into my blueberry instant oatmeal. I cooked the oatmeal and waited for it to cool off a bit before mixing in the powder. This is a great way for me to get my full daily serving of fruits. I feel energized and ready for this rainy day.

A Whole Week on Macro Greens

Its been a little over a week since I started taking Macro greens and Miracle Reds and it been going great. I like to take the Miracle Reds with some fruit juice early in the morning on my way to school. It helps keep me feeling good through out the day. On those days when there's just too much going on I find myself drinking a can of Redbull (bad for you, I know) around 2 but not this week, not with Macro Greens at lunch time. I've also been eating the bars as a snack and my mom even likes them. I'm definitely going to continue taking both.

Friday the 13th

I'm not superstitious-but something went wrong yesterday. I forgot my greens! They are so easy to drink, but I skipped them by accident. I craved sweets yesterday and ate them. (it's gonna happen) It's truly interesting to see how much the drink really affects cravings and how I am feeling. Now I'm back to my half water/half apple juice and macrogreens mix.

Thursday I made a smoothie with:
  • 1/2 c Fresh blueberries
  • sm container Trader Joe's non fat blueberry greek yogurt
  • 1/2 c apple juice
  • 2 T ground flax seeds
  • 1 T MacroGreens.
It tasted great, was fun to have my greens in a different form. I threw it all in the blender, but I guess I did not blend it well enough because texture was a bit rough and at the end I had to use a spoon to get the important goodies! If you're up for it-I think it needs a bit more substance-something to thicken it up more and more time in the blender. suggestions?

Until next time!

New Day

Today has been good drinking my Macro Greens. Because I am sick, it makes me ultra-sensitive to the texture of the drink though. Making some sips worse than others. Other than that, I had a calculus test today and was much more awake and attentive despite the fact that I am sick! It's such a nice alternative to caffeine and energy drinks.

Oh Goodness

this is my 5th day on macro greens, and so far, so wayyyy good.
during class at school, the time i spend is usually an ordeal of taking all the notes i can and impatiently wanting lunch to happen so i can hang out with my friends.
not anymore! (sort of)
i have found myself much more focused and energized (even with unusual sleep patterns!)
its like a nap/apple/cup of coffee/multivitamin in a bottle!
ive encouraged myself to actually participate in the somewhat boring lessons, and have been getting a lot of comments on exactly "what" i am drinking.
my parents got many kicks out of it too, and are happy im taking such good initiative to be healthier.... haha !
be sure i will continue with macro greens/miracle reds even when this is over :)
Test #1

Test #2

Notice: No scrunched faces, no throwing up, no disgust. I promise when I say, it taste 2834928739 times better than it looks.

Day 2

So, today was my second day using Macro Greens. The plan to take the water bottle to school was awesome. Not only did it help with my snacking but also I got some extra attention from my classmates. "What is that stuff!?!?!" "Why are you drinking swamp water???" but I always offered to let them try it on their own.

I had my Miracle Reds right after dinner. I really didn't mind them until I got to the last few sips of the drink. It got really granular not easy to drink. I felt bad pouring it out, because it seems like that's wear all of the good stuff was! Yet, I kept stirring and nothing did the trick. Any suggestions? I even added more Apple Juice thinking it would help dissolve the powder.

Macro Greens-day 2 (shirley's trial)

So, I'm not officially trying macro greens for the first time, but I decided I better get on it since our interns are too. I've recently restarted using them yesterday. This time with the recommended half water/half apple juice, which makes them taste great. So two days down-already less sweet cravings which is exactly what I need. My goal is to finish my large container and decrease my sweet cravings. My nutrition is key to my performance! End of bottle-day two on right!

The First Day

Today has been my first day using the Macro Greens. I haven't tried anything crazy with it yet because I'm still trying to get used to the taste. I have found that I do like putting it in a water bottle and sipping it throughout the day. I can handle the reds in a smaller portion so I will probably drink the Miracle Reds in the morning and then bring a bottle of the greens to school! So far I feel good, and similar to Kim, I feel a cold coming on so hopefully the greens and reds will win the battle of sickness. I look forward to noticing a change and using it more routinely.

Here is a picture of my liquids of the day. The ominously greenish/black one has been the best yet!

I will update tomorrow from school with reactions and maybe videos of friends reactions (I will let them try it and see if they like it!)
My first day of trying Macro Greens was Friday, two days ago. I woke up to pouring rain outside my window, the chilly weather brought on an earache, which usually means a cold will follow. So I had my first glass of green stuff, I actually drank the entire glass. This was my first time actually finishing a glass of a supplement, it was not bad tasting at all. I continued with my day, my days get very crazy with work and being in my car for long periods of time. Many days I don't have time to eat a well balanced meal for lunch, which usually leads to a migraine later. I got home from work at 4:00 in the afternoon, and did not have a meal since breakfast, but to my surprise did not have a headache. The glass of Macro greens that I drank in the morning must have had enough nutrients in it to keep my body happy.

Macro Greens & Miracle Reds

I have been using Macro Greens for about 2 years and love the stuff. I got several of my clients and friends hooked on it and recently started using the Miracle Reds when I get back from my workouts. I am really excited to be working with MacroLife Naturals as our partner in our 2nd annual prom fitness challenge. Last Thursday JR came to speak to some of our teens and college students to explain the benefits and proper usage of Miracle Reds & Macro Greens. Sunday begins day 1 of a 7 day usage program. Check back daily to see what our users are saying about the products!!
